

Five Nations Roller Derby are excited to announce we’ll be running some Officiating Bootcamps in conjunction with leagues in the North and South of England throughout Late-Summer and Autumn. With both entry and advanced level availability.
You will be asked to enter your name and the type of Bootcamp you want to attend when purchasing a ticket, this is to help us plan in advance.
Events
1. Beginner/Intermediate: 29/08/26
Location: Leys Pool and Leisure, Oxford.
Timing: 10-1500
Hosted by: Oxford Roller Derby
Appropriate for:
- Anyone looking to get into Officiating
- People who have done a 1-10 games, maybe only in 1-2 positions so would like more experience in other positions
- People looking for a refresher of the basics
Content will be focused on going over each position an SO or NSO can take, with introductions to paperwork, hopefully ePLT and a chance to practice some specific footwork for Skating Officials.
Including: WFTDA aligned mixed scrim (5+ games). If you are attending the Officiating Bootcamp and wish to skate the Scrim you do not need to buy a second ticket.
2. Intermediate/Advanced: 26/09/26
Location: Tottenham Green Pools and Fitness, London.
Timing: TBC
Hosted by: London Roller Derby
Appropriate for:
- Anyone who attended the Basic/Inter bootcamp
- People with 1-2 seasons experience in Roller Derby
- People looking to see how they can step up to higher level Sanctioned games and tournaments
Content will likely include discussion of a good Officiating History, asking for references, a deeper dive into the rules and responsibilities of each position.
3. Advanced+: 28/11/26
Location: Tottenham Green Pools and Fitness, London.
Timing: TBC
Hosted by: Southern Discomfort
Appropriate for:
- Anyone who attended the Inter/Adv bootcamp
- People with plenty of game experience and tournament experience
- People who have Officiated a few higher-level Sanctioned games.
- Officials wanting to learn how to coach new people.
Including: Skater bootcamp and scrimmage.
What to Bring?
SKATERS – Bring both White and Black tops
OFFICIALS – Bring your own Whistle (fox40 ideally)
NSOs – Bring your own Pencil
